Adjustable terrace pedestals for terraces: a simple, stable, and durable installation
Building a terrace on a concrete slab, waterproof flat roof, compacted sand-cement screed, crushed stone, gravel or traditional screed becomes child's play with SOLIDOR's adjustable terrace pedestals. Our pedestals are robust, easy to install, and built to last. They adapt to any type of surface and provide a stable and aesthetic solution.
Why choose adjustable terrace pedestals for tile installation?
Adjustable terrace pedestals are a fast and durable alternative to traditional terrace construction. Thanks to their screw adjustment system, they allow you to easily set the desired height, compensate for uneven surfaces, ensure proper ventilation beneath the tiles, and facilitate effective rainwater drainage. On top of that, the surface remains easily accessible for maintenance—there’s no need to break or remove the tiles.
This solution is ideal for terraces, pool surrounds, balconies, rooftop decks, or garden paths.
What range of tile pedestals does SOLIDOR offer?
SOLIDOR offers three ranges of adjustable pedestals for supporting tiled terraces. Each range is tailored to meet specific needs - from residential projects to technically demanding installations.

Comfort range: the essential solution for reliable installation
Our Comfort range is ideal for both residential and professional projects where simplicity and efficiency are key. The pedestals are made of sturdy polypropylene and feature a screw-adjustment system. A top plate is placed on the pedestal, with or without spacers. The spacers help define the joint width between tiles.
The height is easily adjustable, allowing you to achieve a perfectly level result—even on uneven surfaces. This is the perfect choice for installing concrete, ceramic or composite tiles, ensuring a stable and clean finish.

Premium range: for terraces with low build-up height
SOLIDOR’s Premium pedestals are specifically designed for projects where a low build-up height is required. Thanks to the screw-adjustment system, the height can be precisely set. This range covers heights from as low as 17 millimetres up to 150 millimetres.

Firesol range: fire-resistant pedestals
The Firesol range is specially designed for sensitive areas such as public buildings (ERP), apartment balconies, or rooftop terraces accessible to the public. These metal pedestals are made from fire-resistant materials and comply with the strictest fire safety standards (Euroclass A1).
They retain all the technical advantages of other SOLIDOR ranges - such as precise height adjustment, robustness, and easy installation—while offering additional safety when exposed to fire. A reliable solution for projects where fire safety is non-negotiable. On top of that, these pedestals boast an exceptional load capacity of 3,000 kg/m².
How to ensure a stable and long-lasting installation of terrace tiles
For a successful terrace on pedestals, a few essential steps must be followed. The surface must be well-prepared: stable, clean, and properly drained. Pedestals are typically placed at each corner of the tile. For tiles measuring 60x60 cm or larger, we recommend placing an additional pedestal at the center of the tile. It's crucial to check the level consistently using a spirit level or laser.
For large-format tiles, proper support is even more important. In this case, we recommend using the Structusol aluminium support system. This system is specially designed to ensure a stable and durable installation of large-format tiles - ideal for rooftop terraces, balconies, or traditional patios. Thanks to Structusol, installation becomes faster and easier: the solid aluminium profiles deliver a perfectly level result, even on uneven surfaces.

What is the maximum load capacity of a terrace pedestal?
All SOLIDOR terrace pedestals from the Comfort and Premium ranges are designed to support loads of up to 2,400 kg/m². The Firesol pedestals go even further, with an impressive capacity of up to 3,000 kg/m².
